A few key points about Environmental Humanities at Utah

• We offer generous funding - up to $21,500, a full tuition waiver for up to 12 graduate credits/semester and health, vision and dental insurance.
• The Program focuses on research about environmental justice, Indigenous Ecological Knowledges, and community engagement. Though not all students choose capstone projects in these areas, all students finish the Program informed in these crucial areas of environmental thought and action.
• Our cohorts consist of students from different locations, academic disciplines and backgrounds that facilitate interdisciplinary learning and constructive dialogue. 
• Students learn from and collaborate with distinguished University of Utah faculty from the College of Humanities, College of Education, College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, and College of Health.
• We partner with College of Humanities career coaching services, and support students in applying to strong Ph.D. programs, professional schools and fellowships.
• Students have personal interactions with notable environmental scholars, thinkers and practitioners.
• Interested students apply for summer funding to explore research projects, community internships and creative writing.
• We host two classes at the Taft-Nicholson Environmental Humanities Education Center amidst the 65,000-acre Red Rocks Lakes National Wildlife Refuge in Montana.
